Health Care Care Support Assistant Geisinger Health System is seeking care support assistants at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville Pa. Performs many of the nonclinical tasks required to support clinical staff who provide direct patient care. Coordinates the interaction of an assigned clinical area with support services departments to deliver a high level of customer service to the clinical staff.
Responsible for ensuring the very best patient/ family experience by optimizing all customer interactions. Fosters a positive work environment through mutual support and cooperation. Performs duties to provide quality patient care and patient satisfaction. Inventory control – Linen: Manages the distribution of clean linen to assigned work area(s)
Collects soiled linen from various locations and transports to the designated holding area
Distributes, collects and cleans hospital equipment Education and/or
experience: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum one year of inventory, clerical or patient transport experience preferred.
Minimum six months on the job to learn to identify medical and surgical supplies and equipment and become familiar with all duties required.
Successful completion of role orientation and competencies.
